Troy joined Gregory, Sharer & Stuart in 1987 and has served in both our tax services and audit services departments. Prior to joining GSS, she served as a tax accountant for a regional CPA firm where she concentrated on small business compliance and financial audits of healthcare entities. Her industry experience includes publishing, manufacturing, real estate, condominium associations, not-for-profit organizations, benefit plans, medical and healthcare practices.

As the Director of the Healthcare Industry Service Team in St. Petersburg, Troy provides specialized services to healthcare clients, including oversight and management advisory services, financial and operational consulting, and mergers and acquisitions. Her healthcare experience includes accounting, auditing, consulting, valuation of medical practices and other healthcare providers and comprehensive physician strategic planning. Primary among her practice management tax and advisory clients are physician practices, management companies and physician owned HMOs.


Troy graduated from the University of South Florida, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.


Troy is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA)in the state of Florida. In 2008, she also received her Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) certification from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. At the completion of this certification program, Troy was selected to be a participant at the PFS Beta Program in Dallas, TX to continue this specialization. Troy has a Series 7 and Florida Life, Health and Variable Annuity Insurance licenses. She has also earned the Chartered Global Management Accountant certification through the AICPA.

Professional Affiliations

Troy is a member of the Florida and American Institutes of Certified Public Accountants, the Healthcare Financial Management Association and the Medical Group Management Association. She currently serves on the FICPA Health Care Industry Conference Committee. She is also a past treasurer for the Mahaffey Theatre Foundation.
