Debbie joined St. Petersburg’s Gregory, Sharer & Stuart in 2011, bringing over 29 years of tax and accounting experience to the firm.
Debbie’s career began as a revenue agent for the IRS, where she audited closely-held businesses and their owners. She then spent 25 years with national and regional accounting firms. During this time, she was a shareholder and tax principal, serving as head of an international tax services department and supervising international tax compliance and consulting for clients with global activity.
Debbie provides a full range of federal tax compliance and consulting for both individual and business clients in industries ranging from manufacturing to various service specialties. She is a frequent speaker on a variety of technical tax topics.
Debbie received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Wayne State University and a Master of Science in Taxation from Walsh College.
Debbie is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the states of Florida and Michigan. She is also an IRS Certifying Acceptance Agent, as well as an AICPA Chartered Global Management Accountant.
Debbie is a member of both the American and Florida Institutes of Certified Public Accountants.
Community and Civic Organizations Served
Debbie is currently the Treasurer for the Tampa Bay Organization for Women in International Trade, a nonprofit organization promoting cross-border business, education and networking. She is a past Treasurer and served on the board for over six years at The Children’s Guardian Fund, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advocacy for children in the foster care system in Sarasota, Manatee and DeSoto Counties.
