Jim joined Gregory, Sharer & Stuart in 1984, becoming a shareholder in 1985. He is now the firm's Managing Partner and has served in this capacity since 2000. He leads the firm's Manufacturing Industry Service Team. His work spans companies of all sizes, from $5 million to $100 million.

Jim began his career in the largest local firm in Texas, located in Houston. He worked with a national firm in St. Petersburg for five years prior to joining GSS in October 1984. Jim has served a variety of clients throughout his career with emphasis in manufacturing, distribution and franchise operations - particularly in helping owner-managed companies improve their business processes.

Education

Jim received his Bachelors Degree in Accounting from Florida State University.

Certifications

Jim is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of Florida. He holds SEC Series 7 and Florida Life, Health and Variable Annuity licenses.

Professional Affiliations

Jim is a member of the Florida and American Institutes of Certified Public Accountants. He is past Director and charter member of the National Association of Accountants.

Community and Civic Organizations Served

Jim is Past Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Pinellas Association for Retarded Children and Past Chairperson of PARC's Annual Golf Tournament. He is a graduate of Leadership St. Pete, past Board Member of Suncoast Children's Dream Fund and Coliseum Advisory Committee, and is Past President of the Suncoasters, Inc.
