Debbie joined Gregory, Sharer & Stuart in 2011, bringing over 29 years of tax and accounting experience to the firm. Prior to working at GSS, she was a tax principal at a local accounting firm located in Sarasota, Florida.

Debbie's career began as a revenue agent for the IRS, where she audited closely-held businesses and their owners. She spent seven years with Deloitte, and over seventeen years with Rehmann. At Rehmann, she was a shareholder and tax principal, serving as the head of their international tax department and supervising international tax compliance and consulting for clients with global activity.

Debbie provides a full range of federal tax compliance and consulting for both individual and business clients in industries ranging from manufacturing to various service specialties.

Education

Debbie received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Wayne State University and a Master of Science in Taxation from Walsh College.

Certifications

Debbie is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the states of Florida and Michigan.

Professional Affiliations

Debbie is a member of both the American and Florida Institutes of Certified Public Accountants. Before moving to Florida in 2009, she served as a board member of the Oakland University Accounting and Finance Advisory Board for a Michigan-based public university.

Community and Civic Organizations Served

Debbie is the current Treasurer for The Children's Guardian Fund, a non- profit organization dedicated to advocacy for children in the foster care system in Sarasota, Manatee and DeSoto Counties.
